We are hiring!

Want to join us? ... and by 'us' I really mean me.

It is time for the Lady Darwin Design team to grow from hired help, outsourced services and the begged, borrowed and stolen time of family and friends so I am in need of a clever person who can take some of the tasks off my desk and free me up to do what I do best.

The role: Personal Assistant/ Admin legend.

This is not a specific design or even a creative role but it would suit someone who either wants to dip their toes in the industry to experience the behind the scenes (boring) side or what it means to be a creative industry person and see if it is for them OR someone who has no interest in design but is super organised, efficient in all things admin and has excellent time management skills to help me put together quotes, place orders, chase up suppliers, send invoices and generally be a multi taking legend.

The hours: Timing of when to start and the hours are very flexible - I see it as being a part time role starting with 10 hours a week. In all honesty I am still working out how much I can offload without my inner control freak losing it (So you tell me what you can offer or bring to the table and we can tailor a role that suits us both). Ideally I need someone here in Darwin who can drop in for meetings once a fortnight, get a brief of what I need done and then take it all away and make the invoicing, quoting, replying to queries and all sorts of other (non glamorous  general office duties) disappear from my to do list. There is an option to do this remotely via zoom meetings and I am all ears if you have other ideas about how else you can bring your organisational skills to my hectic life juggling creative duties with mum/ family life.

You will have:

~ Strong eye for detail & Mega amazing organisational skills
~ Ability to work unsupervised and get shit done when you say you will
~ Confident in managing multiple projects at a time, be a master of multi-tasking
~ Possess initiative and vision, I need someone who is on the ball
~ Be tech savvy - Confident use of computers with experience in social media a bonus (but non essential)
~ Friendly phone manner ...or just friendly and easygoing in general
~ Excellent organisational and time management skills
~ Well written in all forms of communication

That all aside I am also looking for someone who is positive, patient and kind who wants a side income not a fulltime role or to learn the design side of things as that is my job and the part i am happy to continue doing i just need all the other work taken care of. Maybe you are semi retired / a student or a business specialising in organisation or PA work? If this sounds like you please email me your details, a resume or detailed cover letter. Please start with the subject "Working together' to make it easy for me and we can go from there.
