Do you ever have those days when your mood is a colour? Well today I am turquoise. I have always liked this colour, it is my birthstone
“If cold December gave you birth,
The month of snow and ice and mirth,
Place on your hand a turquoise blue;
Success will bless whate’er you do.”
So obviously I have been meaning to get around to buying myself a turquoise ring to wear ….we could all do with more success right? right.
Anyone crafty out there who makes nice unique ones? let me know, I am on -the- hunt.
Turns out this guy Greg Thorne makes turquoise rings as I discovered in 2 google clicks and he was taught by Navajo indians, tell me THAT isn’t a good little incentive to buy these beauties. I might just order one.Maybe I should paint my front door turquoise it is such a cheerful happy colour and it wouldn’t REALLY look out of place with the mish mash of colours I have going on at homeThis speaks for itself, a great colour. it works well with the ones below too, which I wouldn’t have thought of putting together until the image of the table setting caught my attention
What a stunning example of how good this colour is. Mind you how could it NOT look good with double height ceilings like these. I can imagine myself swanning around in this kitchen with a hot pink apron on and a glass of rose.Lovely use of different hues and tones of turquoise mixed togetherI really like the burnt orange/ turquoise mix, it is energising and cheerful but also a little aggressive. Probably too aggressive for me but a good combo none the less
Turquoise and white- always a winning mix- so is turquoise and black
Love this, this is actually a shot from an office of a lady I really admire whose name currently escapes me, she is a visual artist who draws for vogue magazine i think
Well there you have it- no wonder I love turquoise, I grew up by the sea and have been quite happily cast under a spell.
