You can tell its nearly christmas when there is stuff just appearing everywhere -cards in the letterbox that is usually filled with bills,  parcels in my garage, crap loads of brochures everywhere- my kitchen table is full of the HOARDS of junk mail that noone has time to sift through cos there’s that much of it that gets distributed this time of year..I got into bed the other night with a glass of wine and a thick wod of this junk mail crappola and the fella just looked at me like I was a complete stranger as I usually bitch and moan about junk mail before tossing it in the bin instead of saving it up and excitedly going through it all but hey it’s Christmas time … I might need that half priced shitty celebrity named perfume or a giant tin of chocolate coated nuts and some shortbread in a tin shaped like a star…don’t you judge me i know you get sucked into buying this crap too!

At the moment bedtime is the only time I have to sit still and look at stuff…anything that is not on my to-do list is not getting done and my house is filthy… and I mean filthy, even the dog does a little circle before settling himself on a patch of floor that is not covered in dust and hair. Ain’t nobody got time for housework with the end of the year lumping and stuff to finish…or start.

Friday night I was in the horrid local shopping centre and bumped into 3 people i know- ALL of who made the same comment of “just finishing your christmas shopping are you” … Am I the only one who thinks this is odd? No I am not finished its the first goddamn week in december this is me STARTING it you organised judgemental bitches!

Anyway speaking of christmas shopping ideas – did you know that Christian Lacroix is now doing mobile phone accessories??…As if his fashion, furniture, textiles and home wares weren’t impressive enough already (smug bastard!) or maybe he has been doing mobile cases for awhile and I just haven’t clued on to it? anyway they are really damn cool. OF COURSE I happen to have just ordered myself 2 new phone covers a week ago and am still waiting for them to arrive otherwise I would be all over his site buying up to my little hearts content but for now I will just wait for my fabulous sustainably forested bamboo cases to arrive and try NOT to spend another dollar on un -necessary things no matter how pretty they are.

Did you also know the stylish folk over at Designers Guild  have a big sale on their rugs and home wares? (I swear no-one pays me to post these things and I am not trying to sell you anything) I have fallen in love with just a couple of pieces within 30 seconds of browsing, like this fabric and these rugs.

Look at these funky animal head thingos- neat right? I know, I want one despite the fact that they will match NOTHING in our house- Oh well, thats called “eclectic styling’ don’t you know. You can buy them at The Home site which is seriously cheap and fun!

Well well isn’t this turning into a little gift ideas post featuring all the things that I happen to like? Here’s another one – Bunnies. Now I don’t usually give 2 shits about bunnies but then I spotted these and I am really liking them. Looky here at this little range by my new fave home wares site Nel Lusso.
