Sunday session 6.7.14

Katie-living
I am about to change my curtains over to be full height like this to create some drama in my living room. I have 2700H ceilings so i think by raising the curtain rods from above the sliding doors to the roofline this will make much cleaner visual lines. Our couch is on its way out too so I have began hunting for its replacement, something like this might work in the space, but probably not in classic black

This is the other side of the room shown in above image- lovely and bright artwork with a striking classic tan leather chair and a beautiful neutral hide on the floor , i like it a lot!

A slick stunning kitchen, mine currently looks nothing like this smeg, mable and timber perfection…but I can dream

The kitchen renovation has stalled, I am up to my 3rd tradesmen who creases his brow and looks uncomfortable when I express my ideas and try to explain what I want (complete with lots of excited smiling eyes by me and scribbled drawings of little “explanation diagrams”, none of which seem to help my cause. ) No-one wants to do my little project, it’s really not that hard its just fiddly I swear. If anyone out there knows a good tradie who can handle a small glass job please call me!

Aside from my place I’ve done nothing design wise. I am refusing to even look at another clients job until mine is done. Selfish? Yep you betcha!

I did however look at these lovely things that inspired me in one way or another: Jimmy Grants emporium This Habitus home renovation story on a lady that I actually knows home, quite lovely!

I fell in love with this kitchen, it drew me in while I was looking for some kitchen inspiration for my aunties new development and I think I will use afew bits from this image as a starting point

That’s it from me this week, today you will find me floating around on a large purple sea dragon in gorgeous teal water off mindil beach, sipping apple cider on my favourite day of the year – The Beercan regatta  😀
