Well it’s the end of the month and I am meant to have sorted all the wedding planning stuff by now…but I knew from the start that was unlikely and sure enough I am not finished but I have made a good start on it. I seem to be really good at meeting client design deadlines but when it comes to personal ones – not. a. chance.

I somehow managed to take on 2 projects for new clients despite the fact that I swore I was not taking on any new work for the whole month of August and especially not any BIG projects….fail.

Lets focus on what I have achieved  this month:

We locked in a wedding date, a venue, picked some potential dresses, ordered a sample dress for my fabulous bridesmaid girlies that should arrive any day now (and hopefully is gorgeous) , narrowed down choices for rings AND flowers (Yep winning!)

I also ordered our invites, designed by a very talented friend of mine Marita Albers (if you live in Darwin you will know of her – her style is unmistakable, Most recently of ‘The Salty Mermaid gallery‘ fame – Marita has left Darwin to move to Eumundi and has opened a gallery/ shop.  Here’s  a sneak peak of our invites which will be sent out next week.

For all of you other ladies out their wedding planning – Really don’t let it stress you this is a fun time so you should treat it accordingly, I’ve read so many blogs written by women (and some men) whinging about how hard the process is and I really think this is ridiculous, I am LOVING the entire process and the fella doesn’t seem to be minding it either so in the not too distant future I plan on promoting my services as a wedding stylist as I have found that it all falls into place easily… SO if you are struggling with it please contact me and I would be happy to share some of the local retailers, blogs and websites that I have found useful.
