Wrapping up the month …. yes another one  is scary so I’m ignoring the fact that I have l7 days left before I fly off on holidays and am desperately writing myself multiple to -do lists in an attempt to finish everything.

I have spent my weekend at the farm – my families rural property about an hour and a half away doing some shit jobs- I mean literally shit … shovelling the cow shit onto the gardens to fertilise when the monsoonal rains come soon, this was followed by painting another coat on the ENTIRE top floor of the house while my dad looked on and told me what a crap job I was doing and how my spillages were ruining his masterpiece. (ok so there were a lot of spills but as I told him- free help can’t be critisised) I will post photos another time.

So in the coming fortnight or so I’ve got a yachty styled penthouse renovation to square away which has me all nautical obsessed, an apartment  foyer job thats been dragging on and now needs tweaking, a couple of colour consults to complete, 2 magazine articles to write, conceptual designs for a restaurant, plus a large scale commercial lighting project that I need to come up with ideas for… all in 17 days. Shit.

Aside from that I’ve been looking at this stuff:

The Donvale house – such a lovely use of timber, I can’t wait to build a timber house one day. The fella has lots of ideas that will be put to good use too.

This warehouse style home in one of my favourite areas- Surry Hills.

I’ve had a little bit of home envy over this Whale beach home  so will be researching where exactly that is.

Plus I came across some very cool sites this week that you could spend hours wasting time on ..time that I totally don’t have but that I wasted anyway.

Hunting Louise – this site has lots of beautiful things, recipes and features all sorts of things that I can just relate too, like blogging about having no time. 😛

Ok thats enough design browsing, writing and general time wasting on the couch for me today, the sun is out and it’s hot hot hot in Darwin and as Sunday is the only day I try not to do any work it’s about time for some iced rose and lawn bowls I think. Happy sunday to you! x
