When will I learn that I can’t actually do everything despite the fact that I think I can? This week I seem to have too many jobs on the go and I’m toying with the idea of taking on another interesting sounding rural project. I should just say no and finish what I’ve already started…but I probably won’t.
Years ago I read an interview with someone..an artist or architect I think it was who, when questioned about what made them so successful replied that rather than stick to the old saying of “don’t bite off more than you can chew” had decided that he/ she (I can’t remember now) would “just bite off as much as possible and then chew madly!” That interview has always stuck in my mind and I’m kind of trying that approach right now.
I am having a little obsession with these alphabet stools. I may use one for a nursery I am working on actuallyI revamped the home office last week and am thrilled with how much more space I have now despite not throwing out one SINGLE thing…hoarder? yeah maybe – pics are still to come, even the fella commented on how good it looks and is happy that he can now nap on the day bed in there while I’m whittling away the hours. He seems to think I hide in there to drink wine, online shop in secret and just look at pictures in peace but I assure him I am in there ‘getting my creative genius on’. I am.
Now all of a sudden I have had a client ask me to design a workspace for them in a new home, There are so many styles I am considering as the space is HUGE, Yes…I am so envious.
http://nungalinyacollege.wordpress.com/ and here’s a couple of other links worth a look: For design inspiration and clever ideas on small spaces here and for fashion inspiration as well as gorgeous things for the home (I get lost on this site quite often it is all so lovely) here.
That’s it from me for now, this is the motto I am rolling with this week 🙂
