“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life” At the moment I feel like I want to do everything and I am finding inspiration everywhere, Life is good.

I had a funny moment earlier this week when I got a pretty annoying email from an undoubtedly really annoying person (who as far as I know I’ve never met) telling me that they didn’t like the way I change the format of my blog posts and ‘couldn’t I aim for some consistency‘ as this stalker wannabe person would ‘probably like my blog better then‘ … Umm ?!? Yeah.. Ok – NO.

So today just because I can I’m really mixing shit up and aiming for ZERO consistent format. There will be some home tours cos I like them, maybe some sharing of the projects that I have on at present (OMG why do I take on too much and never learn) and maybe even some fashion or colour inspo but I’m just going to throw it all at you however it comes to mind  …Kind of like a game of pick up sticks (Do you remember that game? How fun and cool?!) I’m sure the kind of person who needs constant matching format in what they read online probably couldn’t stand pick up sticks, So you my follower friend can take from it what you will 😉 and hopefully enjoy.

This house is by Shaun Lockyer architects who do some lovely open airy style homes all over Australia- and I love their style. It’s not hard to see why.

I had some fun earlier this week with the folks from Haymes paint and Palmerston Paint supplies who hosted a bit of a soiree for a group of ‘the who’s who’ in the local Design, Architecture and Construction industry, one night was all drinking and chatting (I am so very good at this part of my trade) and the next was a product information evening (down to the business side of things), If you are in the industry OR you are a home renovator …or want to be (call me?) it is worth taking a look at their updated showroom which features great colour inspiration in the form of these booths that I assisted with.

Speaking of paint and colours heres some colour trend info from the good folk at House Beautiful, Plus more about using moody blues as I have found myself using more blue this year than ever before, maybe this is due to the ocean just down from my little house getting bluer by the day as the dry season approaches. Or maybe I am getting old? (insert shocked face!), I notice lots of old-bag Designers (as well as gay Designers) seem to like blue. Dear things.

And here is a new fave site of mine to browse  The Jungalow I have to show you just because the style is so uncontrived and natural and so… I don’t know….so ME –  I love it! “Jungalow style is tropical and bohemian, very vintage and very cozy. Jungalow is about bringing the eclecticism of nature and the wild–indoors” Yes I know, she sounds like me and my style right? I like her already obviously. Plus she’s all about positive energy and shared these tips to bring positive energy to your home– winning!

Anyway the only other thing I wanted to share today is this quote I came across by chance as it is so true “The words you speak become the house you live in” . I see and hear so much negativity all the time but it washes over me and very rarely affects me. I feel very lucky to have a life I enjoy, amazing family and friends and a partner who is building a dream life with me but it does makes me wonder how other people can be in a constant state of misery when there is so much beauty everywhere you look! Inspiration and happiness is everywhere! I wish I knew a way of making people see that they create the life they are living… but I don’t so I will just share this picture instead and hope that the lost ones find their way soon.

Today so I am going to do very little I think as I have done a lot of design work this week and am pretty caught up for a change (first time this year? Yeah probably), maybe I’ll do some cooking and visiting family, some wedding dress designing if I am feeling extra creative, and of course a trip to the ski club to enjoy this amazing Darwin day.
