Sunday session 22.3.15

Which way is up? Oh dear :O Lucky I love what I do or I would be burnt out to a teeny tiny crisp by now I think. Design is my passion so it shouldn’t feel like work… this week I’ve been reminding myself of that. I think I will write in on my mirror in lipstick like a note from a lover.

Here is some of what I’ve finished , and some of what I’ve started this week. Yes…yes I have too much to do 🙂 Again 😀

Textured throws
I bought this throw for a client…and then kept it myself (I’m like that)

Aside from my own reno and these other little jobs that have been dragging on for what seems like forever I recently met with some potential new clients for a very exciting new build home project as well as a business prospect that I can’t elaborate on for now but WOW! quite exciting and I hope to be a big part of it. This is all I will give away for now.

Another project I am toying with taking on is a jungle inspired retreat. Think lions and tigers and bears …but in suburbia. Interesting? yes, yes it is.

And last but not least I am working on something exciting with the local commercial design firm I work for, we will be sourcing some much needed furniture and accessories that are missing from Darwin (cue celebratory toasting of champagne glasses!)

There has been about a years work already gone into bringing good quality, well designed (non bulky, non balinese) timber furniture (that doesn’t cost the earth) and last week it arrived in all it’s glory….HOORAY! Thankfully after all that time and travel it was worth it and I am happy to report it as a success and you should check it out. Think scandanavian midcentury meets japanese zen and that’s how I would describe the style of furniture we have got going on there. It’s too new to be even online yet but you can let me know if you need some pieces and I will sort-that-shit-out for you pronto.

Anyway here’s a sneak peak of what I am trying to achieve in bringing some style to town with the accessories and home wares next ….If you have things you have been wanting to source and you can’t find it locally please flick me an email as I will try to point you in the right direction to our may talented NT artists and crafters but I’d also love to hear what people are wanting (but not finding) and will try to bring it to market.

That’s another week wrapped up and it’s been a long one! I think some skiclub drinks are in order later this afternoon, or maybe the fella and I shall take a drive to the Adelaide river ranch if the weathers better …and if I have achieved enough in the never ending kitchen project that I call home

Happy sunday to you! x
