If you were filthy rotten rich what would you do? I think I would still do my design and art and laze around blogging about it and day dreaming. But instead of on my little patio sitting in dappled sunlight it would be while reclined on the deck of my super yacht, probably with a cocktail beside me. Ok definitely with that cocktail – a rum based one. I find rum highly inspiring…must be all the sugar, I really should drink more of it these days as I seem to have given up rum since my early twenties disappeared. (all too quickly I might add.)
What inspires you? What makes you throw off the sheets in the morning and get out of bed instead of rolling over and twisting yourself into a cocoon of bamboo sheeted slothness for the day. I managed to drag myself from my bed cocoon a few hours ago to run errands but am content to be sitting back at home again with no future plans for the day.
Today I am inspired by little violet flowers and the haymes paint colours that match them, By the grey and yellow speckled goana crawling past in my garden and by sour do bread with cream cheese and strawberry jam which just solved a mini colour crisis I was having.
inspiration is everywhereI like pretty places and enjoy spend hours looking at them, Like this Massachusetts beach house. I love beach houses- who doesn’t? but this one has an extra special element in it with some gorgeous colours that would usually be more suited to a farmhouse style home but I love it and they whorl perfectly in the space. Major colour inspo!
More spaces I like to follow- ‘High design in a New York farmhouse’ Yep, that sure caught my attention. What a stunning house.
I also love good before and after reno shots so this modern home renovation caught my eye.
As did this Queensland renovated home featuring before and after shots.
And a timeless Melbourne home extension project, gotta love good local Australian timber renovations.
Looking to design abroad, Check out this home in Maui – I just love it!
Ok thats enough design browsing and time wasting for me today, I have a few quotes I need to get on to and its already mid arvo so if I’m honest I’m probably not even going to open my diary or attempt to do any work before it hits wine o’clock. Happy sunday to you! xox
