I have had one HELL of a busy week. I know I say that fairly often but this week I am really really feeling the pressure of working for myself, while still working for someone else, while running several projects at once and trying to make time for all of them so that one doesn’t fall by the wayside and turn out to be half baked design genius, while just being a woman with a dream and running a home and generally keeping my awesome creative energy kicking.

There is an annoying brown bird somewhere in my my garden that has started chirping the sound of my phones ring tone because it rings that damn much … Not that I ever ever answer it, as all of my friends and clients know. It’s become almost comical to hear snippets of Tchaikovsky (my ring tone is ‘waltz of the flowers’ you see) wafting in through my window. This bird is mocking me by imitating the very thing that annoys me the most when I am trying to work. The dreaded phone call asking for something or other.

Waltz of the flowers, one of the all time greatest pieces of music ever written. I don’t care whether you like it or not but I do.

This week I was so tired that my new fit bit band thing-a-ma-jigy told me via my data graph that I was asleep for an hour and a half when I was infact sitting upright at my dining table – go figure how that works? If you don’t know how these fitness tracking bands work that will sound very odd but stay with me here and research them.

This week I cooked a total of 1 nighttime meal, the rest were eaten out or cooked by this most amazing man who call my fiancé. I absolutley love to cook (and drink wine whilst doing so) so this is testament to how little I am getting done at home lately.

Actually the one thing I did get done at home was a small task that is the final piece to my kitchen renovation. Yes we are back onto that again. I hung some pots underneath the island bench and they look bloody awesome by the way so it is functional (as I now have stacks more cupboard space) as well as being all vintage chic. Upon completing this very minor addition to the bench I strutted proudly around the house like I had just invented air-conditioning, until I realised that while I was doing that the fella had welded us up a  brand new fancy front gate in about 10 minutes flat so my gloating had to end there as his work far exceeded mine.

I will be back next week doing what I do best…talking about myself and what I do without actually giving away a single hint of the design projects I have on. Did you notice that? Someone did and they kindly emailed me to tell me that I should share more of my work but I am not going to do that for I fear being pigeon holed to the style of my last renovation job and I am too busy moving on to bigger and better things . 😉

If YOU would like to enquire about my design services please contact me for a schedule of fees or to see examples of my work and I will be happy to forward this on to you… once I have sussed you out.

Happy weekend to you and an extra happy valentines day to anyone who is lonely or needs reminding to smile, Always remember to smile! xox
