Sunday session 12.7.15

A sneak peak into my working week, in the form of images and quotes … welcome to my weird world.

‘I love that blue, it makes me feel all calm and happy… like I am in the library” (I have decided most clients are weird and that’s why I get along with them.)

“Do you charge hourly” (Me- Yes I can do consulting to you by the hour) “What if I only want 15 minutes of your time will you divide the hour and just charge me for that?’ (The answer was NO).

“Fabulous. You’ll run out of wine, and your bikinis will fade eventually.”

Me in holiday mode

” I a no talka to you, I wanna talka to a your a boss” (Me) ‘This is my company… I am the boss so what do you want to talk about?’ …. Puzzled look from grumpy old weirdo client.

“What is the painting made from?” ….. whaaaat?!

“Can you negotiate with my tiler for me, I can’t understand what he’s saying”‘

‘Surely picking a white can’t be that hard?’ (Accompanied by a blank expression on stupid annoying clients face)

Annnnd this one- my all time favourite ‘dumb ass request of the week’ from a male client who I find hilarious:

Client: “Purple? you mean like the panther?” (Me) ‘You mean the pink panther? he was pink. I am suggesting you paint the exterior wall a shade of purple …it’s different to pink.”

Client “But isn’t Purple just a darker shade of pink?” :O (Not quite no, that’s why you are paying me to help you.)

I always struggle to say goodbye to clients after completing their homes, whether I have worked with them for just a few hours or a few weeks,  I still find it hard to leave on the last meeting as I feel like I have got to now them, who they are and how they live so signing off on a job is a bittersweet experience. This week I parted ways with 3 clients who have all been great fun. I am now in full preparation mode for  our holidays next weekend.
