I haven’t done a home envy post in a while now but I couldn’t NOT share this dreamy piece of Queensland history.
Anyone who knows me well knows that I left a little part of my heart in Brisbane when I left there after 6 years of studying (ok … partying and living it up) and I have always been keen to get back there to relive some of the memories. Just haven’t got around to it yet. This home is in Pullenvale is here for those who don’t know the area.

This residence has everything you need in a family home. Character, space , charm, old world loveliness, entertaining areas, quiet areas, high ceilings, history, a fab country kitchen to fit all the family in … I could go on and on but I’d just sound like a godawful real estate agent trying to con you into buying it and I’m really not trying to talk you into wanting this house at all …Cos I want it myself! :O In fact, I think I might even have a new favourite! You can see the full listing here but here are my favourite shots of it.
Isn’t she the most elegant country residence you have seen? I am so desirous of whoever buys this property that is makes my heart ache. I adore good old fashioned country living. Having a veggie garden, chooks and ducks and geese! a dinner bell to ring to call your family into the home at the end of days spend outside in the sunshine and of being surrounded by nature. I have decided over recent years that I think I want those things in my life. “Moving to the country… I’m gonna eat a lot of peaches” 😀
If you know anything about the history of this house, or of what it looked like before it was moved to this location or restored I’d love to hear from you.
