That is not a typo, i didn’t mean to write ‘child’s play’ and this post is not about children’s furniture so don’t even waste your time if thats what you are searching for.

Today I SAT in child’s pee.  My colleague at the commercial design firm i work for brings her 3 children to work when they are sick. (They are aged between nearly 2 and 5 so this is often I have found. ) Now i don’t have a problem with kids in the workplace but these 3 are particularly cute and well behaved and quiet and have been coming to the office their entire lives so i play aunty haley really well by now and probably, if I’m honest ..I only really like them this much for the afore mentioned reasons. Today though, today i found myself questioning the whole kiddy thing and how I am going to cope with my own. 3 drops of pee on my left bottom cheek and thats it- baby game over in my mind. Maybe its because I had no interesting projects on the go today, plus my 2nd client had cancelled on me for the day . Maybe its the fact that the fella and I have been chatting about timelines and when we plan on doing all the grown -up things on our list and kiddys was number 3 item after a wedding and new house but I started really freaking out thinking oh no,what kind of little arsehole evil child spawn am I going to breed and more importantly am i going to be able to cope with pee on the toilet seat for, like YEARS while they learn how to use it properly?  Christ help the first born child of mine who throws a tantrum because I am fairly competitive and you can bet your arse I know how to throw one too.

I read this article by a favourite blogger of mine Aunty Cookie the other day, so while I am having a whinge about kids I’d also like to add in that I blame her and her youngest child  for putting me off too.

Now here’s some spunkily designed nursery’s to make me feel more maternal, ‘cos lets face it – decorating a nursery is the only reason I really planned on having children anyway.
