Have you noticed a change in the colours you see in mainstream home decor?
I have been watching with keen eyes, just waiting for the subtle shift which started globally just over 6 months ago now and has now finally trickled into the Australian mainstream furniture and decor industry who have predictably followed suit so you are probably also noticing it by now.
Colour trends always starts with the high-end fashion houses and then there is a flow on effect down from there into homes and art, paint colours, and finally into the colours of cars and household objects. Blue has been BIG for a long time incase you hadn’t noticed? Though I live by the sea so blue has been big forever.
I, like many people have been infatuated with navy, indigo, (pretty much all shapes of deep blue really) for a long while but now I have returned my attention back to one of my all time favourite colours …beautiful green which has had a resurgence in popularity!
‘Greenery’ is being full on “fashion forward” at the moment with people using it in their homes all willy nilly and pretending like they are a freakin genius for realising that you can pair green with blue … Who would have thought? Like it never occurred to them that these are the 2 most prominent colours ever used together in the entire world Hello!… Been outside and opened your eyes lately?
Whatever your weekend includes I hope it has some blue and green beauty in it!
